It’s turning out to be an exciting year for Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonca (SEL). In a star-studded ceremony held in Delhi at the Taj Palace Hotel, NDTV announced Indian of the Year 2011 Awards. The musician troika was lauded for their contribution with Indian of the Year (Music) title in the sixth edition of the awards.
The excited trio said: "This is a huge honor. NDTV have been the leaders of television media and have led from the front .The NDTV Indian of the year comes from these media heavyweights and is of immense prestige.”
It was their entertaining music for Excel Entertainment’s
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara that bagged them this honor. On winning Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy said, “We have to thank Zoya and Farhan, as working with them brings out the best in us.

The Indian football universe added one more club to it as the United Sikkim Football Club (USFC) was officially launched on Tuesday. USFC is a collaboration between football icon Bhaichung Bhuitia, music composer Shankar Mahadevan and Dubai-based company FidelisWorld.
